Wigan boss Paul Cook faces selection headache on his return to the dugout

Wigan boss Paul Cook still faces a defensive headache as he returns to the dugout for the Championship clash with Huddersfield.

The Latics made seven changes for the midweek draw against West Brom – with Cook himself serving a touchline ban.

Defender Chey Dunkley is back in contention after sitting out the game against the Baggies following his sending off against Luton, but Kal Naismith impressed in defence and may keep his place.

Centre-back Charlie Mulgrew (calf) and defender Danny Fox (groin) are out and goalkeeper David Marshall (neck) is a doubt.

Huddersfield manager Danny Cowley is relishing the prospect of having more players available against the Latics.

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Trevoh Chalobah is back in contention after serving a three-match ban following his dismissal against Swansea.

Defender Danny Simpson looks set to be included after recovering from a hip problem.

Fraizer Campbell (hip), Lewis O’Brien (knock), Jaden Brown (ankle) and Alex Pritchard (calf) are working their way back to fitness and one or two may be available.
