Peterborough to welcome back Maddison against Bolton

Peterborough talisman Marcus Maddison is expected to return to the squad against Bolton.

The 10-goal attacker was absent for the draw at Portsmouth through illness. He has missed over a week’s worth of training so it remains to be seen whether he is restored straight back to the starting line-up.

Fellow midfielder Joe Ward has recovered from a groin injury while George Boyd will be assessed.

Siriki Dembele (hand), Frazer Blake-Tracy (ankle) and Josh Knight (quad) have been ruled out for promotion hopefuls Posh.

Bottom-of-the-table Bolton should have an unchanged squad to choose from.

Sonny Graham sustained some bruising in the midweek defeat at Accrington but Wanderers boss Keith Hill is optimistic the midfielder will be available at the ABAX Stadium.

Defenders Liam Edwards and Joe Bunney and midfielder Will Buckley have resumed light training after long-term injuries but will not be rushed back into action.

Jack Hobbs and Liam Bridcutt are still out injured while striker Daryl Murphy is expected to lead the line despite his off-field revelations this week about a positive drugs test last year.
