The midfielder, who is on loan from Blackpool, tore a hamstring earlier in the season which was operated on in September.
Devitt has now rejoined training and could feature at the weekend, with Clayton Donaldson also regaining fitness after an operation on his toe.
Shay McCartan made a comeback from injury as the Bantams drew at Leyton Orient on Saturday and Matty Palmer has also rejoined the squad.
Graham Alexander’s Salford have no new injury worries ahead of the clash.
The Ammies are 14th in League Two having failed to win any of their past four league matches.
The club have not scored a league goal in three games either, with Adam Rooney’s double during their 3-2 loss to Swindon the last time fans had cause to celebrate.
Brandon Thomas-Asante will be hoping to keep his place after the 20-year-old forward made his first league start for the club in the 1-0 defeat to Exeter.
