A big moment for Fede Valverde in his personal life

One of the breakthrough players of the 2019/20 season has been Real Madrid's Fede Valverde, with the Uruguayan midfielder having had a great year on the pitch and in his personal life.

There is a saying that one's happiness at work is accompanied by great personal moments and that is the case with Valverde, who is expecting the birth of his first child in February.

Having often suffered with a degree of shyness when he first arrived in the Spanish capital, Valverde has been helped greatly by his partner Mina Bonino and they have reason to celebrate.

They'll name the boy Benicio and football will clearly be a major part of his life.

"He'll be a River Plate fan like his mother, a Penarol fan like his father and a Real Madrid fan like both his parents," Mina Bonino, who is from Argentina, wrote on social media.

"And if River Plate play Penarol, we'll explain why his parents aren't sleeping together that night."

As well as the support of his partner, the midfielder has been able to count on the presence of his parents Julio and Doris, who both came to live with him in Spain when he joined the club.

With Valverde's personal life about to change beyond belief, his footballing one is showing impressive consistency and you can expect to see him in Real Madrid's team for a long time to come.
