Manchester United fans were not impressed with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 0-0 draw with Wolves in the FA Cup third round.

Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by Wolves in the FA Cup third round and fans have demanded that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sacked. The Red Devils faithful want former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino hired by Ed Woodward to restore the club to its former glory.

United were hapless against Wolves and failed to register a single shot on target in the match at Molineux.

It means the two Premier League sides will replay their FA Cup third round clash at Old Trafford, adding to the already packed schedule both teams face.

And it was the final straw for some United fans who want Solskjaer gone with former Tottenham boss Pochettino taking over.

One said on Twitter: “We all love Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a player and as a Legend but just because you’ve been a good player in the past doesn’t mean you’re qualified to be a Coach at all let alone the top level.

“We need a established coach like a Pochettino who can build a team to compete again.”

Another added: “If this board actually wanted what’s best for this squad, they’d go out and sign Allan, Bruno Fernandes and Cavani in the next week, whilst replacing Solskjaer with Pochettino.”

A third exclaimed: “He’s magic you know, Mauricio Pochettino! Surely a matter of when not if! #MUFC.”

“Totally out played in this second half we don’t even deserve a replay another embarrassing display overall TBH, these players are basically on easy street just waiting for the board to sack this guy like the rest of ors so Pochettino can come in and coach them proper #mufc,” one more said.

A fifth explained: “Break the bank to get Pochettino in, OGS not getting the team motivated at all!!!”

And one more said: “OGS im sorry he has to step down his far to nice to be a success at United go and get Pochettino b4 it’s too late.”

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo gave his view on the match and bemoaned the fact his side have to play an FA Cup replay.

He said: "It was a tough game, we had moments of quality but it wasn't easy. We were better in the second half and dominated possession against a very difficult team. There was not many spaces.

"It was about managing the squad. In the second half we had better knowledge of the game and controlled it better. We wanted to win, to solve the situation today.

"We have a very tight schedule. We want the game, we want to play. Now we have a week to recover and then we go."
