Ipswich could have midfielder Teddy Bishop in contention for a first Sky Bet League One start of the season against Accrington.
Bishop, who had been sidelined with a knee problem, made a late cameo from the bench in the 1-1 draw at leaders Wycombe on New Year’s Day and then came through 75 minutes of last weekend’s EFL Trophy defeat at Exeter.
Forward Freddie Sears was handed a first start of the campaign against the Grecians after recently recovering from his ACL knee injury, so could be involved in the squad again, along with midfielder Cole Skuse (neck).
Defender Janoi Donacien (knee) continues to be assessed, while striker Ben Morris is stepping up match fitness following his own ACL knee problem, along with teenage forward Jack Lankester (back).
Accrington boss John Coleman hopes to have forward Colby Bishop available again following a back problem.
Winger Jordan Clark (hamstring) will be monitored after missing the midweek EFL Trophy win at Fleetwood, while defender Mark Hughes could return after being rested.
Stanley have extended the loan spell of left-back Jerome Opoku’s loan from Fulham until the end of the season.
Midfielder Sean McConville, though, will miss the rest of the campaign having undergone an operation on his ruptured Achilles.
