Moise Kean was slammed by fans after appearing to use his phone while driving

Kean shared the ten-second clip to his Instagram story, with the caption: "I love Everton fans!"

The Toffees star quickly removed the video after a social media backlash.

One wrote: "@MerseyPolice use of phone whilst driving right there."

Another added: "@MerseyPolice Hey, Is this not illegal? He's a danger to others on the road."

A third fumed: "Needs to concentrate on his driving instead of f***ing about."

But one fan - who uploaded the video to Twitter - was quick to try to defend Kean, suggesting he may not have been using his phone.

The supporter joked: "Moise Kean. What a fella. Desperate for him to succeed.

"Recorded on an Apple Watch."

When asked for a comment on the seemingly reckless stunt, Merseyside Police revealed: "No investigation at this stage.

"It has yet to be ascertained when and where the footage was filmed and nobody has reported it to Merseyside Police as yet (other than sharing the video and tagging us into posts)."

It's been a season to forget for Kean, who has failed to score in 20 games for the club following his £36million move from Juventus.

The former Serie A star even suffered the ignominy of being subsituted just 18 minutes after himself being subbed on in the draw with Manchester United.
