Salford trio in contention for debuts against Plymouth

New Salford trio Darron Gibson, Ashley Eastham and James Wilson will be hoping to play a part in their side’s Sky Bet League Two visit of Plymouth on Tuesday night.
Boss Graham Alexander brought in former Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland midfielder Gibson, defender Eastham and striker Wilson recently, but none were used in Saturday’s goalless home draw with Crawley.
Gibson and Eastham were not even on the bench, while Wilson was an unused substitute, although he may get game time against Argyle after Salford registered 19 shots – 10 on target – against Crawley without finding the net.
Defender Nathan Pond has now missed the last two matches with a knock and is again going to be assessed.
Plymouth will be without captain Gary Sawyer as the centre-back serves the second game of a three-match ban.
Boss Ryan Lowe must decide whether to freshen up his side following their humbling 3-0 defeat at Colchester on Saturday, with all three goals coming in the first half.
Lowe made changes at half-time, leading to a more solid display in the second 45 minutes.
Lowe has no fresh injury concerns from that game, leaving only defender Will Aimson out with a pelvic injury.
