McFadzean a doubt as Coventry host Portsmouth

Kyle McFadzean is an injury concern for Coventry ahead of their home clash with Sky Bet League One promotion rivals Portsmouth.

McFadzean had to be substituted late on in the win against Bolton after suffering a groin problem, and the Sky Blues are still assessing the extent of the damage.

Fellow defender Michael Rose made his return from a hamstring injury on Saturday but struggled at times and may not be fully fit.

Josh Pask would likely deputise should left-back Rose need to be taken out of the team again.

Andy Cannon will not feature for Portsmouth on Tuesday night.

The midfielder missed the victory over Tranmere with a glute injury and he has not fully recovered.

Oli Hawkins is back in contention after taking a knock to the head while in action for the reserves, so the striker could be in the squad. However, Bryn Morris (abdomen) is still out.

Fourth-placed Coventry have lost just one league game since October, while Pompey – a point behind in fifth spot – will arrive at St Andrew’s on a nine-game winning run in all competitions.
