Ched Evans banned for Posh clash

Fleetwood striker Ched Evans is out of Saturday’s League One clash with Peterborough as he begins a three-match ban.
Evans was dismissed for a challenge on Wycombe’s Jason McCarthy in midweek during a 1-0 victory at Adams Park which also saw manager Joey Barton, who has since been charged by the Football Association, banished to the stands.
On-loan Swansea midfielder Barrie McKay impressed Barton in his first start for the club on Tuesday evening and will hope his efforts keep him in the side.
Isak Thorvaldsson is yet to make his debut since joining on loan from Norwich, while fellow midfielders Harrison Biggins, Jordan Rossiter and Kyle Dempsey are still out.
Peterborough will be without 25-goal striker Ivan Toney through suspension after he reached 10 bookings for the season during the 4-0 win over Southend in midweek.
Toney, who scored twice against the Shrimpers having done the same when Oxford visited the Weston Homes Stadium at the weekend, was cautioned in both games to earn a two-match ban.
However, defender Nathan Thompson is available once again after sitting out on Tuesday night as a result of his red card against the U’s.
Full-back Frazer Blake-Tracy was an unused substitute after recovering from an ankle problem, but defender Frankie Kent and forward Idris Kanu remain on the sidelines.
