Newport will check on defender Ryan Haynes ahead of the Sky Bet League Two match against Bradford.
Left-back Haynes was forced off during the closing stages of the midweek Leasing.com Trophy semi-final shoot-out defeat to Salford, and continues to be assessed.
Midfielder Otis Khan was unavailable against parent club Mansfield for the last league game, while 17-year-old defender Dom Jefferies has been recalled from his loan spell at Salisbury.
Exiles boss Michael Flynn remains without several injured players, with Nick Townsend, Mark O’Brien, Ashley Baker, Daniel Leadbitter and George Nurse all continuing their recovery.
Bradford are likely to still be without Callum Cooke and Kelvin Mellor.
Cooke has missed the last two games with a knock while Mellor continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Zeli Ismail was fit enough to return to the bench at Cambridge last weekend, where he was an unused substitute, following six weeks out with a calf problem, so he will hope to get on the pitch this time.
City remain in play-off contention, just one point adrift of the top seven, despite only one win in their last 10 league games.
