Double fitness boost for Cambridge ahead of Carlisle visit

Cambridge could be handed a double injury boost ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash against Carlisle.
Liam O’Neil and Paul Lewis were both forced off in the goalless draw at Plymouth last weekend, but the midfield duo are under consideration to play some part in Saturday’s fixture.
Defender Ben Coker, on loan from Lincoln, is stepping up his fitness bid and has returned to training.
Midfielder Luke Hannant is sidelined by an ankle problem, while forwards Jabo Ibehre (knee) and Sam Smith (glandular fever) continue their own rehabilitation.
Striker Nathan Thomas is a doubt for Carlisle’s trip.
The nine-goal striker limped off against Morecambe in the second half and has not fully trained this week.
Midfielder Callum Guy and striker Joshua Kayode (hamstring) have both stepped up their recovery and returned to light training.
Carlisle will be looking to strengthen their gap above the relegation zone, with the Cumbrians currently 14 points off bottom spot.
