Carlisle will again be without defender Byron Webster for the visit of Newport County in Sky Bet League Two.
Webster serves the second game of a two-match ban on Tuesday after also sitting out Saturday’s defeat at home to Colchester.
Carlisle boss Chris Beech is optimistic that midfielder Nathan Thomas will be available for selection.
Thomas has missed the last two games with an ankle problem but is close to a return.
Newport manager Michael Flynn has Joss Labadie available again for the trip to Brunton Park.
Labadie has missed the last two games through suspension after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season against Grimsby.
Flynn also expects “one or two” unnamed players to return to the squad following injury.
Midfielder Jordan Green is pushing for a return to the starting XI after coming off the bench for the last 30 minutes of Saturday’s win over Morecambe.
