Gillingham sweating on Barry Fuller fitness
Posted Thursday, March 12, 2020 by PA
Gillingham will check on the fitness of Barry Fuller ahead of the visit of Fleetwood.
The experienced defender suffered a knee injury towards the end of the 2-2 draw at Sunderland last weekend.
But the problem is not serious and manager Steve Evans is hopeful Fuller will be available.
Midfielder Mark Byrne remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
Fleetwood have no new injury worries and could be unchanged from the 2-2 draw at Portsmouth in midweek.
Kyle Dempsey is set to miss out again with the stress fracture of the back that has kept him sidelined since January.
Jordan Rossiter is another long-term absentee having sustained a knee injury in November.
Wes Burns, Paul Coutts and Paddy Madden dropped out of the starting line-up at Pompey but all made appearances from the bench.
