Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is ready to get one over his old side Manchester United in the transfer window.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is keen to beat Manchester United to Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims. Mourinho tried to sign the Senegal international during his time at Old Trafford.

The centre-back could be on the move in the summer transfer window, with Napoli willing to cash in on the 28-year-old.

And Di Marzio says Tottenham are keen to land the defender, adding Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a good relationship with Koulibaly's agent.

He told Sky Sports: "Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly could be one of their most important targets. There is a very good feeling between his agents and the Tottenham chairman.

"I think Koulibaly will leave Napoli this summer. Only last summer, Napoli signed Kostas Manolas who is a similar player to Koulibaly and then they got another defender in, Amir Rrahmani from Verona.

"Napoli have been thinking to the future without Koulibaly. A couple of years ago, they would not have been open to the idea of Koulibaly leaving.

"But the last year was not his best for Napoli, so I think this could be the right moment for him to leave.

"As well as Tottenham, Carlo Ancelotti wants him at Everton. His agents have very strong contacts within the Premier League clubs.

"So, I think the percentage that Koulibaly could arrive in the Premier League is very high."

Tottenham are ready for a busy summer and Levy could lose Harry Kane in the transfer window.

United have been tipped to land the striker in a £150m deal.

A lot has been made of Kane's future, with European football expert Guillem Balague claiming the England international has always wanted to challenge himself by leaving Spurs.

"I don't think [Kane will leave] in the next 12 months," Balague said on his YouTube channel.

"Well the next 12 months would mean not this summer, the summer after. The summer after we'll have to see.

"It makes sense for Harry Kane to actually move after the end of next season because he's always wanted to do that.

"He's always wanted to challenge himself that way.

"I think Spurs have reached a limit that they won't be able to surpass for a while.

"So for Kane he needs to go to the next step."
