Jurgen Klopp is to ensure every member of his squad receives a Premier League winners' medal.

After winning their first league title for 30 years, the Reds will be given 40 medals by the Premier League.

The rule is that those who have made five or more appearances are entitled to a medal and take priority before Liverpool are able to dish out remaining medals out to backroom staff.

At the moment, 21 players are guaranteed to get their hands on a medal - with youngsters Harvey Elliott, Neco Williams and Curtis Jones requiring a further three appearances to be eligible.

But believing that everyone has played their part in the title triumph, Klopp is not a fan of the rule in place and says all players will get a medal - even if he has to produce them or give up his medal.

"If people don't understand how important the squad is to win the championship then I can't help them to be honest," Klopp said, as per Sky Sports.

"If you have zero games you should win a medal, if you are part of the squad you should get a medal.

"If you are the second goalie and you have less games you should have a medal, because you train five million times over a year and if you don't (all) train at the highest level then you have no chance to win the championship (as a squad).
"These boys will get a medal 100 per cent - I will produce it myself, eh? One hundred per cent they can have my medal.

"They deserve a medal and they will get a medal, if not from the Premier League then me."

With that being said, Klopp will not be handing out appearances just for the sake of it - the youngsters will have to earn it.

"They will not play just because I want to see them in a Premier League game," he stressed, via The Guardian.

We want to win and to win football games the best players have to be on the pitch. If the young boys are part of these best players then they will be on the pitch - but we won't give them Premier League matches just for fun. They cannot be handed out like sweets."
