Chelsea are interested in signing Monaco teenager Malamine Efekele.

Chelsea are in pursuit of Monaco forward Malamine Efekele, reports claim. The talented 15-year-old has been likened to France international Kylian Mbappe, who started his career at the Stade Louis II.

Frank Lampard's side have already completed the signings of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner and Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for a combined £90million.

And further additions are on the horizon with Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz on the Stamford Bridge club's radar.

However, Chelsea are also looking to the future and have their sights on emerging teenager Efekele.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim the west London club have the 'lively' and 'very promising attacker' Efekele in their sights and could make an approach in the upcoming transfer window.

Efekele, who turns 16 on July 19, is primarily a right winger but can also operate on the left and in the centre-forward position.

His versatility, pace and talent has seen him earn comparisons with superstar Kylian Mbappe, who burst onto the scene for Monaco in 2015.

L’Equipe report that Chelsea's approach could be accelerated by Brexit, which could potentially block the recruitment of 'foreign minors' after January 1, 2021.

Meanwhile, Lampard has been discussing another of his youthful talents in Christian Pulisic, 21, after another game-changing contribution against Crystal Palace.

"He's got great talent," Lampard said. "He came here in difficult conditions at the start of the season in terms of not having a break but he's moved his game on to another level - not just in terms of how he's going by people but he's got real end product.

"I didn't put any limits on him so he's not surprised me. I knew the talent he had and I wanted to help him when he first got here because of the physical nature of the league. I had to manage him and then unfortunately he had quite a bad injury.

"But the hunger that he has, the quality that he's showing, and the end product has been the most pleasing aspect. Since the restart, he's been fantastic.

"You look around at the top attacking talent in the world, they score goals regularly that win games and at the moment he's doing that, so I'm delighted with him."
