Manchester United are looking to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund could be willing to agree a deal for Jadon Sancho if two conditions are met by interested clubs. Express Sport understands Manchester United have identified the England international as their top summer transfer target.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to recruit Sancho to further strengthen his attacking options which already include Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

The 21-year-old has reportedly agreed personal terms in principle with Old Trafford bosses, although the transfer fee is likely to be a sticking point.

Dortmund are demanding up to £115million - a sum that would surpass the £89m club-record fee United forked out for Paul Pogba in 2016.

The summer transfer window is likely to be affected by the coronavirus crisis and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward previously admitted talk of big-money signings ignores the realities posed by the pandemic.

But Dortmund are standing by their sky-high asking price and would only sanction a sale if the timing is right.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told WAZ: "Jadon has a valid contract with us, and we would be very happy if he would still be with us next season.

"In order to even think about anything else, first of all, the timing would have to be right, and secondly, our price expectations would have to be met 100 per cent."

A replacement would be needed if Dortmund do sell Sancho - and Zorc is already on the hunt.

"If Jadon leaves, we would like to sign a new offensive player," he added.

"There are certainly one or two players that we are keeping an eye on."

But Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke fears they will be forced to pay an inflated price for a replacement if they rake in a big sum for Sancho.

“In that case, the price for every player we are interested in will go up by €5 to €10m,” Watzke said.

“If he stays with us, then he stays. And this is what we wish for from a sporting perspective.”
