Pep Guardiola has blasted Arsenal and insisted he has no respect for the people who run the club.

Guardiola has taken a swipe at the Gunners after Mikel Arteta's men beat Manchester City in Saturday's FA Cup semi final at Wembley.

His anger with the London club stems from the role the Gunners played in attempting to get City thrown out of next season's Champions League.

The Gunners were one of eight clubs who ganged up on City during their appeal against the two-year European ban imposed on them by UEFA earlier this year.

The rival clubs wrote to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to claim City were delaying the investigation into their subsequent appeal in a bid to be able to take part in the Champions League next season.

Pep Guardiola has been left seething by Arsenal's actions.

City won their appeal last week and had the ban overturned, but Guardiola has been left seething at the Gunners' role in the whole affair.

He laid into them last week following an emotional outburst - and has now done the same again by admitting he doesn't respect them off the pitch.

He said: "The opponents always deserve my respect and credit.

"And Arsenal, I have all the respect for what they are on the pitch - not much off the pitch - but on the pitch, a lot. So congratulations to them and good luck in the final."
