Gillingham’s latest signing Scott Robertson could make his debut in their Sky Bet League One opener against Hull on Saturday.
Robertson joined on a season-long loan from Celtic in time to be eligible for the first match of the season.
Defender Matty Willock was working on an individual programme for his hamstring injury but could be fit in time for Saturday.
Manager Steve Evans will be hoping his side get off to a winning start in the league following their two wins already this season in the Carabao Cup and the Football League Trophy.
Hull head coach Grant McCann will have James Scott and Josh Magennis back after they returned from playing with Scotland Under-21s and Northern Ireland respectively.
New signing Lewie Coyle remains suspended for the first two games of the season after being sent off in the first leg of previous club Fleetwood’s play-off semi-final defeat to Wycombe.
Tom Eaves remains sidelined with a long-term ankle ligament injury sustained in February.
McCann will make a late call on the fitness of Callum Elder, although Saturday could come too soon for the Australian.
