Atletico Madrid await results of PCR tests

Atletico Madrid's pre-season has been impacted by Diego Simeone testing positive for COVID-19, however the club are awaiting the results of further PCR tests which will arrive on Tuesday morning.
Those who have come into contact with Simeone have been forced to take the test as well as a precaution, namely Nelson Vivas, who was likely to take charge of the first team until the Argentine returned.
Whether training can return to normal depends on the results of tests which were taken on Monday afternoon.
The concern is that the infection may have somehow spread to the players who have worked with Simeone last week, especially as Atletico rapidly approach their first competitive game of the campaign.
