Cheltenham secure first points of season with routine victory at Tranmere

Cheltenham picked up their first three points of the season thanks to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
All three goals came in the first period, with Charlie Raglan and Andy Williams scoring inside 20 minutes before Paul Lewis turned a corner into his own net.
The victory gets Michael Duff’s side off the mark following defeat to Morecambe on the opening day.
It took just six minutes for the Robins to take the lead with Raglan heading home a Chris Hussey corner before Williams finished off a flowing move to double his side’s advantage.
And it went from bad to worse for Rovers six minutes before the break as Lewis turned a corner into his own net.
Rovers carved out a couple of half chances in the second period, the best falling to Lewis but they rarely troubled Cheltenham goalkeeper Josh Griffiths.
The result leaves Mike Jackson’s side searching for their first win and goal of the season.
