Jose Mourinho explains why Tottenham players are not happy after Chelsea draw

Tottenham and Chelsea played out a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho says his players are not happy with only picking up a point at Chelsea on Sunday. Tottenham moved back to the top of the Premier League following the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho's side put in a strong defensive performance to keep Frank Lampard's side at bay.

But Mourinho says his players are disappointed they didn't win the game.

"A draw at Stamford Bridge is usually a positive thing and staying top of the league is also a positive thing," the Portuguese told Sky Sports.

"But my dressing room isn't happy with that and that is fantastic.

"It's a complete change of mentality and personality.

"That was a game where we respected them and they respected us. Nobody gambled today or tried to change the direction of the game.

"Everybody was in a situation of one mistake wins the game, especially in the last 15 minutes."

Mourinho is excited for the return of fans next weekend, with Arsenal the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He added: "I like the feeling of being top and having our first game back with fans, even if just 2,000 fans, it's a gift for the Tottenham fans.

"We came from a difficult position last season and we are happy with that. If we were a bit better, we would have won today.

"The game was there for us. The next match is a must-win."

Centre-back Joe Rodon impressed on his full Premier League debut for Tottenham.

The Wales international survived a late scare when his poor header back to Hugo Lloris could only find Olivier Giroud, but the Chelsea man failed to capitalise on the error.

The summer signing from Swansea was delighted to get the nod alongside Eric Dier at the back and says he will learn from his mistakes.

"It is a tough place to come," Rodon said.

"To make my debut [first Premier League start] is a dream come true. Hopefully I can learn from this. They are a good opposition and I was in for a tough night.

"It is a massive game and you are playing against top players. Mistakes happen but I will learn from them.

"We always want to go into every game for three points. Sometimes you need to dig in and take a point."
