Reports stemming from England have credited Manchester United with an interest in Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez
Saul Niguez's Atletico stint
Saul joined Atletico in 2008, after departing Real Madrid's youth ranks.
And, barring a loan stint with Rayo Vallecano, he has since spent his entire senior career at the Wanda Metropolitano.
All told, Saul has featured 329 times across all competitions for Atletico, in which the Spaniard has scored 43 goals and provided 18 assists.
The 26-year-old is a central midfielder by trade, but can also be used on the left of a flat midfield four, as he has been on a number of occasions this term.
Man United linked with Saul
Now, as mentioned above, though, Saul is once again being linked with a Manchester United switch.
Reports last year suggested that the Red Devils were scouting the midfielder ahead of a potential £70m offer:
Manchester United secretly sent scouts to watch Saul Niguez as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer weighs-up a £70m offer for the Atletico Madrid star.

Speculation doing the rounds this weekend, though, suggests that the Spaniard could be available for considerably less.
Saul is contracted to Atletico until the summer of 2026. However, according to the Daily Star, citing the Mirror, United could activate his release clause in a bid to bolster their ranks in the middle of the park.
This clause, as per the report, is believed to be around £43m.
In turn, given the fact that Manchester United are in need of a defensive-minded midfield addition ahead of next season, Saul could potentially represent a real bargain, at such a low fee.
