Eden Hazard was spotted laughing and joking with his old teammates after his former team, Chelsea, knocked his current side, Real Madrid, out of the Champions League

Eden Hazard was more than happy to share a laugh and a joke with his former teammates after Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

The Belgian, who spent seven years at Chelsea, was seen walking off the pitch with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy with a smile on his face: despite his side being dumped out of the competition just a couple of minutes beforehand.

"I've just seen some bizarre scenes. Eden Hazard is laughing with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy," said Don Hutchinson on RADIO5LIVE.

"It's a Champions League semi-final. I know they are his friends but I can't imagine Cristiano Ronaldo coming off the pitch for Real Madrid laughing.

"That's how laid back Hazard is. I'm not criticising him. I just find it a bit of a weird watch."

Hazard was the star of the Chelsea team for the best part of a decade - making 352 appearances and scoring 110 goals for the Blues, sweeping up Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League medals along the way.

However, in 2019 he moved to pastures new when Real Madrid swopped in for him.

It hasn't been plain sailing for Hazard at Real, and he has struggled with injuries that have severely limited his game time.

And these injuries limited Hazard to just a cameo role in the first leg last week.

This was Hazard's first time he has returned to Stamford Bridge since he left: almost two years ago.

Hazard, who started, was anonymous for most of the game, however, he almost lasted the full 90 minutes before he was hooked for Mariano.
