Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic said on Sunday (26th February) that his team won't be taking Gambia lightly when they travel to the West Africa nation for the first leg of their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations second round qualifier.

Algeria are looking to reassert themselves as one of the continent's top teams after failing to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Algeria didn't make it to this year's tournament but there's not a very long wait until the next one.

Gambia are Algeria's next opponents and coach Vahid Halilhodzic might not be playing - but he's still looking sharp.

Algeria are ranked third in Africa and 27 places above Gambia - who have never made it to the tournament proper.
