(Q: What is the latest on Steven Gerrard's injury?)

"I've just come in, they've not trained, the players will just be arriving shortly so we'll get an assessment when we speak to the medical people and work it out from there."

    (On upcoming Arsenal game)

"They had a fantastic comeback last week against Tottenham, getting five goals in about 20 minutes or something so it's going to be difficult for us but we'll make it difficult for them. So we'll just plod on as I've said before. We'll add the points up and see what we're getting."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager

"I think your maths is good but as I say, I'm not worried about excitement but about moving the club forward and we've got a really difficult game against Arsenal on Saturday and we want to go and play and compete as best we can. What happens, as we said before, will happen, but we're going to get into it and we're going to be competing. We enjoy winning games more than we enjoy losing them so it's the same incentive for us now as it's always has been."
