The defending champions, doubled the lead on the half hour mark.
Jang Kuk Chol's low shot from inside the area was blocked, but the rebound fell nicely to an unmarked Ri Kwang Hyok, who calmly slotted the ball into an empty net.
And North Korea made it 3-0 just before the hour mark.
This time it was Ri Kwang Hyok who took possession and passed to an unmarked Pak Nam Chol - the North Korean midfielder teasing the Indian defense before knocking in.
Ten minutes later, Ri Kwang Hyok was once again in the area, crossing for Ri Chol Myong to nod home from close range.
