  • Intro:

Tottenham Hotspur face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, aiming to end their recent slump of four league matches without a win and maintain their UEFA Champions League ambitions for next season.

Spurs last away league win was the 2-0 victory at Norwich on 27th December, and they haven't won at Stamford Bridge since 1990.

They currently lie fourth in the Premier League - occupying the final Champions League place - but Chelsea are just five points behind them in fifth place.

(Q: What do you make of Fabrice Muamba's recovery?)

"It's been miraculous. Unbelievable. I mean to see that state of the boy, where he was on Saturday night, it's just, it's a miracle. It's been a miracle and let's hope he just continues. You know continues to get better. He continues to improve and it would be fantastic. When he left the ground that night, I think we all feared the worst so it's great to hear the good news keep coming in from the hospital."

(Q: What is the significance of your game with Chelsea this weekend?)

"Well, it's a big game for us for sure. We've got a lead over Chelsea but we've got to maintain that lead. It's going to be tight getting down to the end of the season. It's still tight. The Champions League places are all up for grabs it's just closed up. From being 10 points clear, we're only five points clear of Chelsea now. From being 10 points clear of Arsenal, we're suddenly behind Arsenal by a point. So you know it's not been ideal from our point of view but it happens in football. Arsenal have just been on an incredible run of winning games and we've struggled to pick up the results the last few weeks."

(Q: Do you feel the team need to hold their nerve after some recent disappointing results?)

"No I don't think it's holding the nerve, it's just whether you.... I don't think the players. The players don't sit in there and think, "We've got to make Champions League." They don't think that way, the players. The players here are not panicking over it. They play every game as if it's another game. They want to play well in every game. They'll come out and train this morning, they'll be bright as bright could be. There's no one walking around thinking, "We've lost a couple of games." It doesn't work that way, certainly not here. The players - they just want to get on with it."
