    Script:

Kazuhiro Sasaki relived his days as a Seattle Mariner as he threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Mariners played the Oakland A's in their second game in Tokyo on Thursday.

Ichiro Suzuki was looking to maintain the momentum after picking up four hits on opening night, , but on his first at-bat the Mariners' Japanese star was robbed of a hit by a great defensive play by Oakland second baseman Jemile Weeks.

Then in the fourth, Oakland starter Bartolo Colon struck Ichiro out to end the inning.

Suzuki's enjoyed a better time of it in the field, catching namesake. Kurt, off the bottom of the fifth.

In the top of seventh, the Mariners Justin Smoak broke the deadlock when he hit Colon for a solo home run.

But, in the bottom of the seventh, the A's took the lead when Yoenis Cespedes hit Shawn Kelley over the wall for a double home run.

Josh Reddick welcomed George Sherrill to the mound by sealing back-to-back home runs for the A's.

Oakland notched an insurance run in the top of the ninth through Jonny Gomes.

Then, in the bottom of ninth, Oakland's Grant Balfour got Smoak out to end the game - as the A's defeated the Mariners 4-1 to make it one apiece after their two season-opening games in Japan.
