The 2012 World Touring Car Championship was back at Circuit Moulay El Hassan in Marrakech on Sunday.

Tom Coronel had a bad start after he was sent into a spin by Alex MacDowall.

However, the Dutchman recovered to finish eighth.

James Nash wasn't so lucky, retiring just after the start when he was collected by Mehdi Bennani.

Chevrolet again dominated proceedings with Alain Menu, Rob Huff and Yvan Muller all breaking away early on - but Menu was the clear pacesetter.

The trio led from start to finish with Menu able to cement his second consecutive win of the season.

Huff and Muller completing the podium.

The reverse grid system meant the winning trio next started significantly down the grid, but race two soon assumed its seemingly natural order.

The Chevrolet superiority on the straight lines was again overwhelming and the Muller-Huff-Menu express had no problems moving to the front.

By lap six the rest of the field were left to fight for fourth at best as the lead group stretched ahead, Yvan Muller taking the chequered flag.

In fact race two presented a reverse order to the race one podium with Huff finishing second and Menu claiming third.

The win means Muller will head into the next race weekend with a 24-point lead over Menu in the driver standings.
