Andy Pettitte took the stand on Tuesday in the Roger Clemens perjury trial at a federal court in Washington, DC.
Pettitte's appearance in court brought some unexpected colour to Clemens' re-trial on Tuesday.
The former Yankees player is accused of lying to Congress four years ago when he denied having used steroids or HGH.
Pettitte was called in just before noon, setting up an awkward reunion between the two big hitters.
Pettitte on the witness stand and Clemens part of the defence, just 20 feet apart.
Pettitte's expected to testify against Clemens, who used to be a close friend.
