  • Intro:

Colin Montgomerie doesn't think that world number one Luke Donald will win this year's Open Championship, whilst Rickie Fowler is looking forward to taking on the Royal Lytham & St. Annes golf course.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Colin Montgomerie, 31 European Tour wins

"I feel that Luke Donald - we talked about Luke Donald - and everyone says how straight a driver he is but he is actually ranked outside the top 100 in the American tour this year in driving accuracy. He doesn't drive the ball as accurately as people think he does so unfortunately that is why I haven't favoured him ahead of the likes of (Justin) Rose, (Peter) Lawrie, and Graeme McDowell who are particularly driving the ball well this year."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Rickie Fowler, World number 19
"I love Links golf. It's probably my favourite. I like the amount of options that you have while you are out playing a links golf course. There may be fewer options this week just because of how narrow and how much rough there is and how many bunkers. There's definitely going to be some shot-making that's going to need to happen this week. I love playing links golf. You can be as creative as you want and hit a variety of shots in the round."
