SOUNDBITE: (English) Rio Ferdinand, Manchester United defender:

"I am looking forward to it (the match against Shanghai Shenhua). Obviously, there has been a lot of excitement and media coverage about Didier (Drogba's) and Nicolas Anelka's coming to Shanghai. So it is a great game for both clubs. Obviously, Shanghai has got to see where they are and this is the stage of our pre-season and the main focus for us is to get onto another stage of fitness and get through the game unscathed, no injuries."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United manager:

"Well, we signed two players this summer - (Shinji) Kagawa and (Nick) Powell. We think they have fantastic potential. And at this moment in time, we are working on other options in terms of bringing other players in. So we are not lying on our backsides doing nothing. We are trying hard to bring other players to the club."
