British gymnast Louis Smith argues that the pressure is now off for the individual events after Team GB secured the bronze medal in the teams event on Monday.

(Q: On his feelings at winning the bronze medal?)
"I mean this medal was great because it was so unexpected. Who would have thought that our team would be the bronze medallists at this Olympics Games. It's been a long journey getting to where we are, and the fact that it all came together at the right time in the competition that means the most to us is just a dream come true."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Smith:

(Q: on winning a team medal to sit alongside his individual from 2008?)
"I mean I've known the guys for about ten years. Training on the squad together you see friends that are retiring and people that fade away, but the guys that we've got, they're like family. We've been training together for about ten weeks, intensively, at the national centre, we've been in France for two weeks training so it's been a real journey for all of us and an emotional one and to be able to win this medal with the rest of them, it just means to much."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Smith:

(Q: How the medal will affect their chances and mindset ahead of the individual events?)
"Well I think it (the team medal) makes the rest of our competitions even more enjoyable. The fact that we've already got a medal is, well, we've already got a medal. If I don't perform or something goes wrong in my Pommel final, I'm still walking away from this Olympics with a medal round my neck so it really takes the stress off. I can think I can really go out there now and really try and perform and see what I can do. If it doesn't happen, I've (still) got a medal and I think everyone feels like that now. Everyone feels a little bit more flamboyant. Everyone wants to go out there and push it a bit more."
