Script:
FC Twente got their Europa League qualification campaign underway against Mlada Boleslav of the Czech Republic on Thursday.
Nacer Chadli made a promising start for the Dutch hosts but he was denied by Jan Seda.
Glynor Plet was next to be stopped by the 26-year-old Boleslav keeper.
Chadli came even closer to opening the scoring before half-time.
Twente did break the deadlock after the break, Leroy Fer converting Dusan Tadic's free-kick.
Tadic was on form and he helped create the second goal - the Serbian's cross found Dmitry Bulkin who failed to convert but Chadli was on hand to make it 2-0 to Steve McLaren's side.
Seda was on hand once again to prevent another Twente goal but the Dutch side will carry a comfortable advantage into the second leg in Mlada Boleslav on Thursday.
