Loket in the Czech Republic played host to round 11 of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship on Sunday.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Antonio Cairoli was hoping to extend his championship lead over his title rivals and made the perfect start in race one, taking the lead at the very first corner.
The Italian rider didn't relinquish the position and crossed the line first, with Christophe Pourcel second and Max Nagl third on his return from a back injury.
Race two was a much more entertaining affair, Nagl getting off to a flyer to take the lead.
The German rider was able to stay in front until he was passed by Clement Desalle on lap 9.
With Nagl tiring Cairoli was able to pass him before catching up with Desalle.
The duo engaged in a tight tussle for the lead, banging frames on a couple of occasions before Cairoli eventually got through to take the chequered flag.
Cairoli's race double means he has extended his advantage at the top of the FIM standings to 30 points, with Desalle second heading into the next round in Great Britain on August 19.
