156 players - including the top 103 ranked players in the world - will compete at the 94th PGA Championship at the Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina at the end of the week.
Most players were at the course on Monday, braving stifling heat to make their preparations before teeing it up on Thursday in the season's last major tournament.
The 94th PGA Championship is due to be held at the Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, for the season's last Major.
The Championship continues an exciting stretch of golf that will also see the Fed Ex Playoffs and Ryder Cup in the coming weeks.
World number one Luke Donald of the UK has yet to win that elusive first Major, but is confident in his game heading into the week and likes the course layout.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Luke Donald (on the course):
"Well it's a great golf course. After last week in Akron (Ohio) it feels like it's reasonably generous off of the tee. If the wind doesn't blow like today which was mild in terms of the wind conditions, it gives you some opportunities. The greens are perfect. It's very typical Pete Dye, a lot of raised greens, a lot of falloffs. If you miss greens it's going to be tricky. You're going to have to be very good around the greens. But it's a good, solid golf course."
Adam Scott infamously finished with four bogeys to lose this year's British Open, he says he will take the positives into this tournament.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Adam Scott (on moving on from British open disappointment):
"Well it's quite easy to really. It wasn't quite the way I wanted the tournament to end, but you know I've played a million tournaments and the all haven't ended the way I want them to. So very similar situation for me. And I feed off of all of the good stuff I did - I controlled the tournament for three and a half days really, even a bit more, and that's a good feeling. That's a sign that everything is in the right place. Obviously something to learn from and hopefully I get to use that this week and put myself in a similar position."
The PGA Championship will officially get under way on Thursday the 9th of August.
