Reaction following USA's 109-83 semifinal win against Argentina

Sunday, August 12 2012 by SNTV
  • Intro:

USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski talked about the win over Argentina while forward Andre Iguodala spoke about the gold medal game with Spain - and being involved in the blockbuster Dwight Howard trade.

    Script:

"I thought we played really well. We beat a very good team and to beat them three times in 17 days really takes something. They had a well conceived game plan with Ginobili and Scola being their centrepieces. I thought our defence was good. We didn't hit very well in the first half and then Kobe got us off to a great start, then LeBron got us off to a great start in the second half. Then Durant and Carmelo had their spurts and we played an outstanding second half."

"It will be a great game for us. A great obstacle ahead of us. They're a really good team, have been together awhile. They're a really good team as a unit and we got a really good challenge ahead of us."

"The power is still with Team USA. We're still the best team in America, so I don't think the Lakers or the Heat could beat the team we have. So I'm really focused on that and we'll see what happens when we get back."
