Former World No.1 Carlos Moya admitted on Thursday (August 16) that he holds fears over his friend and compatriot Rafa Nadal's recurring knee injuries that have seen the Spaniard pull out of the US Open.

"Of course I am worried. He (Rafa Nadal) has been out since the second round of Wimbledon and now he is resting. Physically, he would loved to have come back and maybe (it would have) hurt even more. And now he is very calm. He takes his time. You know Rafa is going to come back for sure and is going to be stronger than he was before. Mentally he is such a great player and for sure he is going to give everything he has to be 100 per cent (fit) again and we will see him lifting another Grand Slam trophy, I am sure of that."
