"Carmelo and I actually spoke about Coach (George) Karl before the trade. We were just in the weight room, just talking basketball and I asked him about what Denver was like and we were talking about all the teams (in the NBA) and I had no clue I would be here. And he said 'you would be the perfect fit for Coach Karl. Like you two would really gel with one another.'"
