  • Intro:

A weakened Fluminense, without Deco or Fred, still manage a 1-0 win over Sport Recife in the Brasileiro on Saturday (August 18) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

    Script:

An eclectic set of supporters turned out to watch Fluminense host Sport Recife in the Brasileiro on Saturday.

It was a game with plenty of chances Samuel Rosa coming close with a header after 10 minutes.

An unlikely guest arrived and stayed until the end.

The home side continues to entertain the visitor but Wagner was wasteful, Sport Recife's keeper Hugo was on form and Thiago Carleto failed to hit the target.

The second half started brightly but Recife's Tobi was too eager and he was sent off after being given his second yellow card.

The winning goal was supplied by Samuel Rosa.

The goal capped off an unconvincing display but by Fluminense but they got the three points to move level with Atletico Mineiro at the top of the table.
