  • Intro:

Citroen driver Timmy Hansen headed the order in the FIA European Rallycross Championship following the first two heats of the first round on Sunday.

    Script:

Timmy Hansen was fastest in both heats as the Citroen driver got his FIA European Rallycross challenge off to the best possible start at Lydden Hill, England.

Despite making only his third supercar appearance, he showed experience beyond his years as he set the fastest heat one time by just under two seconds.

Tanner Foust and Petter Solberg both struggled in the opening heat.

Foust collided with Timur Timerzyanov while Solberg had technical problems ahead of the start of the race - jump starting at first before failing to start altogether.

Solberg made amends in the second heat winning his race with the second fastest time.

That however was overshadowed by Hansen, who again stormed to victory with the quickest lap, becoming the first driver to break through the three-minute mark.
