    Script:

When you've just become a dad for the first time, you could be forgiven for heading straight home to your wife and baby, to enjoy the delights of early fatherhood.

Not so for Lee Chong Wei, who was in fine form for Malaysia on the final day Axiata Cup 2013 in the Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Wei, who became a father for the first time two days ago, made the decision to play for his country only on Saturday night.

In an intriguing contest, world No.1 Lee Chong Wei met Thailand young gun Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk.

The new daddy didn't disappoint his fans and emerged victorious in two straight games, 21-12, 21-18.

The women's singles' final was between two rising stars of the sport, with three-time World junior champion Ratchanok Intanon beating the host's young sensation Sonia Cheah in the opening tie 21-17, 21-15.

The Malaysians went on to secure a 3-1 victory with wins in the mixed doubles and mens doubles competitions.

Delight then for Malaysia and Lee Chong Wei - enjoy the trophy, it's nappies and sleepless nights from here on in !
