China secured the titles in Badminton Asia Championships men's singles, women's singles and women's doubles titles after the semi-finals at the Taipei Arena in Taipei, Taiwan on Saturday.

    Script:

No world number one Lee Chong Wei, so 25-year-old Chong Wei Feng was the only hope for Malaysia in the men's singles semi-finals.

He took on London Olympics bronze medalist Chen Long from China in the Badminton Asia Championships .

Chen Long had an unbeaten record against Wei Feng and took the first game 21-17.

The Malaysian found himself some fighting spirit early in the second game to lead at 6-2.

But Chen Long soon restored the order with some powerful smashes - before wrapping up the match 21-17, 21-15 in 47 minutes.

World number one Li Xuerui took on Sayaka Takahashi of Japan in the women's singles.

Although losing the first game 18-21, the 20-year-old Japanese upset Xuerui and took the second 21-18.

But the Olympic Champion prevailed in the deciding game and finished off Takahashi 21-18, 18-21, 21-12.

In the men's doubles, Ko Sung Hyun and Lee Yong Dae of Korea beat the the Malaysian pair Goh V Shem and Kim Khim Wah.

Two-time Asian champions Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei of China defeated Lee Chun Hei and Chau Hoi Wah of Hong Kong SAR in straight games.

And in the women's doubles, Ma Jin and Tang Jinhua from China beat Gebby Ristiyani Imawan and Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah of Indonesia.

All in all, a good day for China.
