Three-time defending Formula One 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel got the chance to have look around the Sochi Olympic Park Formula One circuit on Monday - the site that will be used for the Russian Grand Prix next year.
Vetell won the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, which extended the Red Bull drivers lead at the top of the drivers standings to ten points.
Construction on the 5.8 kilometre track is underway and work is expected to be completed in July next year.
The German says he's looking forward to the challenges of the new track on the F1 calendar.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sebastian Vettel, three-time defending Formula One champion
"To really experience the track you really have to drive it. There is a couple of months obviously, yeah a little bit more than one year to go before we get that experience. I'm looking forward to that, but I think by the looks of it, by the drawing, I think it could be an interesting and challenging track, with as we mentioned, quite some fast corners and hopefully plenty of places to overtake, so that the racing is quite exciting."
25-year-old Vettel was the first current Formula One driver to be given a tour of the site, which is where the Winter Olympic Games will be staged in February next year.
Vettel was joined in Sochi by former Formula One driver David Coulthard, who raced for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull Racing.
