And Mathieu Richard emerged victorious, after beating Taylor Canfield 2-0 in the final.
Frenchman Richard won the first match and was then gifted the second after a mistake by Canfield

Richard was quick to praise the impact of his teamates

"I think firstly it's team work, sure, and I'm very happy with the way we have sailed as a team during the week. We have tried to improve every day, and at the end, I think we are very strong. The others were strong as well, but we were a bit better and yes, I am very happy with the way we have sailed, and so fantastic to win here and really, yes, I couldn't expect such a good result before the regatta and yes, I'm delighted. I'm very, very happy and.... so it's great, just great."

Having finished third in the first stage in Germany, Richard now tops the World Match Racing Tour standings on 50 points.
