Round four of the FIA European Rallycross Championship took the drivers to the city of Kouvola in Finland on Sunday, 140 kilometres north east of the capital, Helsinki

The event marked the start of a trio of Scandinavian rounds in close succession.

The three rounds completed so far in Britain, Portugal and Hungary had produced three different winners, but that trend was broken by American driver Tanner Foust.

Foust became the first double winner of the 2013 season, following up his victory at the Lydden Hill Race Circuit in England.

Foust can count himself a little fortunate to have emerged a the winner of the main final, as former WRC world champion Petter Solberg looked to have had the race sewn up.

Solberg was well in control, only for a steering arm to fail on his Citroen on lap five.

Foust took the win ahead of Timerzyanov, Hansen and Doran - moved up to seventh place in the championship standings on 50 points, 38 behind reigning champion Timerzyanov.
