Sebastien Ogier celebrated his maiden World Rally Championship title by claiming a fourth victory in five rounds at Rally France on Sunday.

Dani Sordo moved up into third overall after finishing second in France - the Spaniard reaching the podium following his lone win of the season two rounds ago in Germany.

But Ogier was untouchable on home soil, winning the first three of Sunday's six special stages on the way to finishing 12.2 seconds clear of Sordo.

Ogier clinched his maiden WRC title on Thursday after Thierry Neuville failed to win the opening power stage, denying him three bonus points that were vital to his title aspirations.

With his Citroen out of action, Ogier, the nine-time former champion, alongside co-driver Daniel Elena, reached the finishing area in a road car, waving the fans farewell after his final WRC appearance.
