Day two of the Men's Club World Championships continued in Brazil on Wednesday with a meeting of a pair of teams in search of a first triumph.

Iran side Kalleh lost 3-1 to Italian outfit Trentino Diatec in their opening match on Tuesday, while Japanese side Panasonic Panthers were also beaten by three-sets-to-one by Argentine side UPCN.

Here though, the Panthers quickly took control against Kalleh.

They won the opening set fairly convincingly by 25-19.

The Iranians bounced back after that though and took the second set 26-24 to level the game.

A tight third set followed which in the end proved to be crucial.

The Panasonic Panthers edged it 30-28, and despite the Iranians fight back in the second set, they couldn't rally again from a set down.

The wildcard team secured a 3-1 victory by taking a comfortable 25-16 win in the fourth.
